Vrindavan is about 12 km north of Mathura, Gokul about 15 km and Baldeo about 21 km to the south-east, Govardhan about 23 km to the west, and Barsana and Nandgaon about 45–50 km to the north-west. Agra (Taj Mahal) is about 55–60 km south and Delhi about 160–180 km north. Mathura and Vrindavan can be covered in one day; Govardhan, Barsana and Nandgaon need a second day.

Start with Mathura (Janmabhoomi) in the morning, Vrindavan in the afternoon/evening, and keep Govardhan–Barsana–Nandgaon for the next day. Gokul and Baldeo fit into a half day.
