Gokul Parikrama is a sacred pilgrimage walk in Gokul, the town where Lord Krishna spent his early childhood after being taken from Mathura. The parikrama takes devotees through several divine sites associated with Krishna’s bal-leelas (childhood pastimes), such as Raman Reti, Chintaharan Mandir, Brahmand Ghat, and Nanda Bhavan. It is considered a highly purifying and emotionally uplifting journey for Krishna devotees.

A typical Gokul Parikrama package includes visits to Raman Reti, where Krishna used to play; Chintaharan Temple, associated with removing worries; Brahmand Ghat, where Krishna revealed the universe in his mouth; Nanda Bhavan, his childhood residence; and Yamuna Ghats for spiritual rituals. Some packages also include nearby places like Mahavan and Gokulnath Ji Temple.

The parikrama route is relatively short and easy, generally covering 4–6 kilometers, and can be completed in about 2–3 hours. It is suitable for all age groups, including children and senior citizens. Many tour packages also offer vehicle-assisted visits to the temples for added convenience.

Most Gokul Parikrama packages include pickup and drop from Mathura or Vrindavan, local guided sightseeing, temple darshans, and sometimes prasad distribution. Some premium packages also include Satvik meals, puja arrangements, and an experienced guide who narrates the spiritual significance of each spot.

The best time for Gokul Parikrama is during the cooler months from October to March. Special occasions like Krishna Janmashtami, Gopashtami, and during the Kartik month are considered especially auspicious for this parikrama.
