Dauji Mandir is located in Baldev town, about 18 km from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the oldest temples in the Braj region and is dedicated to Lord Balarama, the elder brother of Lord Krishna. The temple is easily accessible by road from Mathura, Vrindavan, and nearby towns.

Dauji Mandir is dedicated to Lord Balarama, lovingly called “Dau Ji” in Braj. He is revered as the protector and elder sibling of Lord Krishna. The temple holds great importance among Vaishnav devotees and is known for its ancient idol of Balarama, believed to have appeared during the Dvapara Yuga.

The black stone idol of Lord Balarama in Dauji Mandir is unique and powerful. It is said to be self-manifested (swayambhu) and has a strong spiritual presence. The idol stands with a pot of nectar and a club, symbolizing strength and divine protection.

The temple generally remains open from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Aartis are performed in the morning and evening, and special prayers are held on festive days. The Balram Jayanti and Rath Yatra festivals are celebrated with great devotion and large gatherings.

Dauji Mandir is famous for its unique and energetic Holi celebration, known as "Huranga." It takes place a day after the main Holi festival. During Huranga, men are playfully beaten with cloth strips by women, while devotees throw colors, sing bhajans, and dance in devotion. It is a must-see traditional Braj celebration that draws large crowds each year.
