Garud Govind Temple is located near Vishram Ghat in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the lesser-known yet spiritually significant temples and is situated close to the banks of the Yamuna River, easily accessible from the main city area and other Krishna temples.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna (Govind), and what's unique is that he is worshipped alongside Garud Ji, his divine vehicle (vahana). This temple is one of the rare places where Garud is placed facing Krishna inside the sanctum, which is a very symbolic representation of devotion and surrender.

Garud Govind Temple is considered highly sacred in Vaishnav tradition. It is believed that Garud Ji himself worships Lord Krishna here, making it a symbol of ultimate devotion. Devotees come here to seek blessings for protection, strength, and removal of obstacles in life.

The temple is generally open from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The best time to visit is during early morning aarti or evening darshan. It is especially serene during weekdays and less crowded than other major temples in Mathura.

While the temple observes all Krishna-related festivals like Janmashtami, it also sees special rituals on Garud Jayanti, the appearance day of Lord Garud. Devotees often offer Tulsi leaves, milk, and sweets to both Lord Krishna and Garud Ji, seeking blessings for health, protection, and spiritual growth.
